1. Information We Collect
1.1Depending on how you use Dronely, we may collect account information such as name, email address, phone number, username, password or authentication information, account type, business name, business information, and other information necessary to create and maintain your account.
2. Profile Information
2.1Users may voluntarily provide biography, professional experience, services offered, service area, qualifications, business information, photographs, videos, portfolio materials, website links, social media links, contact information, and other profile information.
2.2Some profile information may be visible to other users or publicly accessible depending on the user’s settings and how the information is submitted.
3. FAA and Professional Credentials
3.1Service Providers who wish to offer drone-related services through Dronely may be required to submit evidence of applicable FAA certifications, licenses, registrations, or other professional credentials.
3.2As part of this process, Dronely may collect images, photographs, scans, or digital copies of licenses, certificates, credentials, identification documents, or other documentation submitted for verification purposes ("Credential Images").
3.3Credential Images may contain information including name, FAA certificate or license information, certificate or license number, photograph, issue date, expiration date, professional qualifications, credential status, and other information appearing on the submitted document.
4. How We Use Credential Images
4.1Dronely uses Credential Images primarily to verify that a Service Provider possesses qualifications required to use certain Platform features or offer certain types of drone-related services.
4.2Credential Images may be processed through Dronely’s verification system. The system may use automated technology, optical character recognition, document analysis, third-party verification services, government or publicly available information, manual review, or a combination of these methods.
4.3Credential Images may be used to verify authenticity or apparent validity, confirm that a credential belongs to the submitting user, confirm certification or licensing information, determine eligibility for Platform features, detect potentially fraudulent or altered documents, detect expired credentials, prevent misuse, maintain Platform safety and integrity, facilitate verification, and comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
5. Credential Image Retention and Deletion
5.1Dronely is designed to minimize retention of Credential Images. After a Credential Image has been processed through Dronely’s verification system, the original image will generally be deleted.
5.2However, Dronely may temporarily retain the Credential Image if verification fails, the credential contains inconsistent or incomplete information, the document appears altered or fraudulent, the verification system cannot confidently determine validity, additional verification by Dronely is required, a technical issue requires additional processing, fraud or security concerns require investigation, a dispute requires review, or retention is otherwise reasonably necessary for legal compliance or a legitimate business purpose.
5.3If additional verification is required, Dronely may retain the Credential Image for as long as reasonably necessary to complete that review. Once the additional verification process is completed and the image is no longer reasonably necessary, Dronely will generally delete the Credential Image.
5.4Deletion may be subject to limited exceptions where retention is required or reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, protection of legal rights, or other legally permitted purposes.
6. Verification Results
6.1Even after the original Credential Image is deleted, Dronely may retain limited information concerning the verification process, including verification status, credential type, verification date, expiration status, whether additional verification was required, whether verification passed or failed, and other limited information reasonably necessary to maintain a user’s verified status.
6.2Retention of verification results does not necessarily mean that Dronely retains the original credential image.
7. Third-Party Verification Services
7.1Dronely may use third-party providers to assist with credential verification. When a third-party verification provider is used, Credential Images or information contained within them may be transmitted to that provider for verification.
7.2Third-party providers may process information according to their own privacy policies, agreements, legal obligations, security practices, and retention procedures.
8. Verification Does Not Guarantee Legal Authorization
8.1Dronely verification does not constitute FAA approval, FAA certification, government certification, legal advice, regulatory approval, or authorization to perform a particular drone operation.
8.2Service Providers remain responsible for complying with all applicable laws and maintaining valid credentials.
9. Job and Transaction Information
9.1We may collect job descriptions, job locations, proposals, applications, bids, messages, invoices, prices, payment status, transaction history, reviews, ratings, and other job-related information.
10. Payment Information
10.1Dronely uses Stripe Connect to facilitate payments and payouts. When Stripe processes payments, Dronely may receive transaction information such as transaction identifiers, payment status, amounts, payout status, refund information, chargeback information, and other information made available to Dronely by Stripe.
10.2Dronely generally does not store complete payment card information when payment processing is handled by Stripe. Service Providers may be required to provide information directly to Stripe for identity verification, business verification, tax reporting, banking, payouts, and compliance.
11. Communications
11.1We may collect information contained in communications with Dronely or through Platform communication features, including customer-support requests, messages, feedback, reports, complaints, job-related communications, and other communications submitted through the Platform.
12. Automatically Collected Information
12.1When you access Dronely, we may automatically collect IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring website, dates and times of access, approximate location derived from IP address, device information, usage information, diagnostic information, and cookie or similar technology information.
13. How We Use Information
13.1We may use information to create and manage accounts, provide Platform services, connect Clients with Service Providers, display profiles, facilitate jobs, verify credentials, facilitate payments, process payouts, provide insurance-related assistance, provide customer support, communicate with users, prevent fraud, detect abuse, maintain security, improve functionality, develop new features, analyze Platform usage, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, comply with applicable law, and protect Dronely, users, and others.
14. How We Share Information
14.1We may disclose information to other users when users choose to make information available through public profiles, job postings, proposals, reviews, or other Platform features.
14.2We may share information with Stripe to process payments and payouts, verification providers when necessary to provide credential verification, insurance providers or partners when users request insurance assistance, and technology providers for hosting, cloud storage, analytics, communications, security, customer support, payment processing, verification, infrastructure, and other Platform functions.
14.3We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect users, prevent fraud, investigate suspected violations, protect Dronely’s rights or property, address security issues, respond to emergencies, or facilitate a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
15. Reviews and Public Content
15.1Information that you intentionally make publicly available may be viewed by other users and potentially members of the public.
15.2This may include profile information, photographs, videos, reviews, ratings, business information, portfolio materials, and job-related information you choose to make public.
16. Cookies
16.1Dronely uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, maintain login sessions, provide security, remember preferences, analyze usage, improve functionality, detect fraud, and support marketing or advertising where applicable.
16.2Additional information is available in Dronely’s Cookie Policy.
17. Data Retention
17.1Dronely retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain accounts, complete transactions, provide customer support, maintain security, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal requirements, and fulfill legitimate business purposes. Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
17.2Credential Images are intended to be deleted after verification unless additional verification, fraud investigation, technical review, legal compliance, or another legitimate reason requires temporary retention. Dronely may retain limited verification results after the original Credential Image has been deleted.
18. Data Security
18.1Dronely uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
18.2No electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials.
19. Privacy Rights
19.1Depending on applicable law and whether Dronely is subject to the relevant statutory requirements, you may have privacy rights including the ability to request access to personal information, request information about how personal information is collected and used, request deletion, request correction of inaccurate information, opt out of certain sales or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable, and appeal certain privacy decisions where required by law.
19.2California’s CCPA provides qualifying California consumers with rights including the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing, and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. These rights are subject to applicable legal exceptions.
